Packaging and Consumption

To preserve the excellent flavour and aroma of our coffee, our packaging has been developed to effectively protect against oxygen and other external factors. We continuously work to improve our packaging by using better materials and new solutions that maintain coffee quality while reducing environmental impact.

Packaging Made from Renewable Plant-Based Raw Materials
Our coffee packaging is produced by a supplier that uses renewable, plant-based raw materials—a bio-circular residual product from the forestry industry. The packaging consists of 95% ISCC-certified material (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification). By applying the mass balance principle, we ensure that the amount of bio-based plastic material used corresponds to the volume in our packaging. This means our packaging is almost entirely fossil-free, although each individual package may not be made solely from plant-based materials.

Mono-Material Packaging
We have taken several concrete steps to address recycling and sustainability challenges. One of our focus areas is transitioning to so-called mono-material packaging—packaging made from a single type of plastic—which is significantly easier to recycle compared to traditional multi-layer packaging that requires material separation. We actively collaborate with our suppliers to enable this transition and expect to launch mono-material packaging on the market within the next few years.

Recyclable Packaging

In accordance with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), we aim to make all our packaging recyclable by 2030.
